Business & Strategic Re-positioning
Business Problem:
We were hired by Armor Manufacturing Co. to assess the current state of the company, interview the internal stakeholders and clients, and realign and refine their strategic positioning.
My Role for the Project:
I served as the Project Manager with the following list of responsibilities:
-
Conducted internal analysis through designing surveys and interviewing clients and internal stakeholders, as well as meeting with the executive-branch members one-on-one to better understand their visions
-
Coordinated communication between Armor Manufacturing Co., our business consultants and visual/video production team
-
Oversaw and assisted the completion of the Business Profile: a document that includes the summary, strategic visions and positioning of Armor Manufacturing Co., as well as market analysis and actionable recommendations. A sample of the Business Profile can be found below.
-
Managed the schedule and deliveries of promotional materials for it's official LinkedIn profile to Armor Manufacturing Co.. A sample of some of the promotional images can be found below.
Solution:
-
The Business Profile helped rectify the issue of an ambiguous strategic positioning of Armor Manufacturing Co. to both its internal stakeholders and clients.
-
With the launch of their official LinkedIn profile, Armor Manufacturing Co. can now more easily reach out and attract their desired clients and business partners in the B2B sector digitally.
-
With the increased digital exposure of the firm and clear understanding of their current state as a company, the low employee morale can be elevated and more momentum can go towards generating more and higher sales.
My Takeaways from the Project:
-
I learned that for an organization to achieve the most optimal efficiency, a clear understanding of its current and desired state is critical; it must also be effectively communicated to both its internal and external stakeholders intermittently.
-
I learned that reassessments and realignments during different periods or stages of execution is necessary to ensure that all stakeholders are keenly aware of what the current situation is and what the next goals are.
-
I learned that B2B sector, like B2C, also requires an online presence to communicate more effectively to not only potential clients or business partners, but also good talents and employees; however, the approach must differ as it needs to focus more on sharing the firm's organizational culture and strategic vision and values.
